With close to half of the country designated to game reserves and areas for the protection of wildlife, Tanzania is famed for its safari industry. The country is also known as the home of Africa’s highest point, Mount Kilimanjaro, known as the Roof of Africa.
Most of the country’s tourist attractions are located in the northern parts of the country.
